Our Story
Gallery Viewer began as an idea around 2017/18, created from a simple belief that important photos and memories deserve more than being scattered across phones, chats, folders, and social media.
The first version started around 2019 with raw PHP, HTML, and CSS. As the idea grew, so did the need for a stronger foundation. After being introduced to Laravel in 2020, the platform was migrated into a full Laravel application around 2021, giving it the structure needed to support users, events, galleries, privacy, and media management.
By 2024, Gallery Viewer had grown into a modern system using Laravel as the API, Next.js for the public UI, and React for admin and management tools. Today it continues to grow — with plans to include AI-assisted features that make the platform easier and more efficient for users, clients, and creators.
WordPress, Wix, and other builders were considered along the way. But Gallery Viewer needed deeper custom backend logic, flexible media handling, private sharing, and event-based access — so a custom-built system became the right direction.
