The Gallery Viewer uses a small number of cookies and browser storage items to keep the service running, remember your preferences, and — with your permission — measure how the site is used via Google Analytics. This page explains exactly what we store, why, and how long it lasts.
We do not use advertising cookies, sell your data, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.
gv_tokenEssentialSession (tab close)Stores your authentication token for the current browser tab. Cleared when the tab is closed.
gv_userEssentialSession (tab close)Caches your profile data (name, role) locally to avoid redundant API calls during the session.
gv_themePreferencePersistent (localStorage)Remembers your dark or light mode preference across visits.
gv_cookie_consentEssentialPersistent (localStorage)Records your cookie consent choice so we do not ask again on subsequent visits.
gv_guest_tokenFunctionalPersistent (localStorage)An anonymous identifier for guest interactions (likes, comments on public galleries) so duplicate actions can be prevented without requiring an account.
_ga / _ga_*Analytics2 yearsGoogle Analytics — tracks page views and usage patterns so we can understand how visitors use the site and improve it. Only set if you accept analytics cookies.

Changing from declined to accepted will reload the page to initialise analytics. Essential cookies are always active and cannot be disabled.
When analytics cookies are accepted, we load Google Analytics (GA4). Google may set its own cookies governed by Google's privacy policy. We use GA4 in analytics-only mode — no advertising features, remarketing, or user-ID tracking are enabled.
Vercel Analytics (anonymised, no cookies) is always active and is not affected by your cookie choice.
You can also clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Note that blocking essential cookies will prevent sign-in from working correctly.
